WAKE UP!

The Bridegroom Cometh!

Part I

For the past several months we have displayed the words of God’s end-time apostle for His Church, Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong, words that, if heeded, would bring unity once again to the Church. We also have shown you that doctrine is put into the church only through an apostle.

The ministry has, as a whole, led the Church into error since the apostle’s death. They will not acknowledge this, nonetheless, it is true. The great apostasy of II Thessalonians 2 has taken place. The divided Church today is far from being ready for the return of Jesus Christ.

This division we are experiencing has been caused mostly by the ministry not speaking the same things (I Corinthians 1:10 ). The same things as whom? The apostle, of course! (Acts 2:42 ). This applies especially to the apostle God raised up in our time. Christ has removed him from the scene in order to test the Church. The Church today, as a whole, is failing miserably this test (Revelations 3:14 -20).

It’s time to wake up! It’s time to trim our lamps and make sure we have enough oil (God’s Spirit in us.) Remember, He gives His Holy Spirit to those who obey Him (Acts 5:32 ). Trimming our lamps means to get our nose into the Word of God and sharpen our knowledge of His will for us, and then do it!

Some will not be ready to graduate from God’s college. They will have become so weakened from lack of God’s Spirit that they will not be ready to go into the Kingdom of God (Matthew 25:1-13). This is sad. Jesus Christ is not fooling around with us. This is serious business for God’s people. Do you hear His knock (Revelation 3:20 )? Are you answering it?

It’s time to set our personal spiritual houses in order, to get ourselves ready for the return of Jesus Christ as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He will soon return with great power to restore order and His truth all over this earth (Isaiah 11:9).

The leaders of the three larger splinter groups from the WCG are attempting to preach the gospel to the world. It is not being done on any grand scale as it was under the apostle’s direction. These leaders are not fully on track. Some are teaching outright heresy. Can you believe that? This will be proven to you.

In future ads we are going to show you where the major groups, along with most of the smaller ones, are off the track in their doctrines and teachings. They are keeping different doctrines, or at least polluting those the apostle taught us.

The Church was given the true doctrines of the Church through an apostle’s tutorship. Most splinter group leaders today have willingly departed from at least part of these teachings. This has caused the division we find in the Church today. Do we truly understand where all this is leading? We are in the Laodicean era of the Church.

God is going to chasten this era of the Church in the tribulation in one final attempt to get them to repent and return fully to Him. He wants them to be spared the second death in the lake of fire. He wants them to be rulers in the Kingdom (Revelation 3:21 ).

Some may give up completely and accept the mark of the beast. Some ministers and members have abandoned worshipping on God’s Sabbath and Holy Days and now worship on Sunday and keep this world’s holidays.

Listen! We are not even in the tribulation yet and some have already done this! This is an amazing turn of events. How tragic!

If they do this now when the going isn’t all that hard, what will it be like for others when it gets really tough to be a true Christian? Christ gave us a warning about this right before He was crucified.

“For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry” (Luke 23:31 )?

Difficult times are coming soon! Jesus says there will be great weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 25:30). It is not His desire to see people suffer. Wouldn’t it be better for us to repent now while there is time to overcome our weaknesses and faults? Wouldn’t it be better to prepare for Christ’s return now?

Ministers are responsible to teach to you the truth of God. They are held accountable and will pay a heavy price if they either pollute the truth and doctrines of God or withhold part of them from you.

Well, brethren, that has happened, and no one seems to be crying aloud and showing God’s Church its sins. YOU MINISTERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROTECTION OF GOD’S PEOPLE!

“It is the duty of Christ’s TRUE ministers (and how scarce today) to PROTECT the begotten but yet unborn saints from false doctrines, from false ministers” (Herbert W. Armstrong, Mystery of the Ages, pg. 262).

Not only have you ministers not protected the saints from false doctrines and concepts, you have led them into some error at the least. You are the ones guilty of causing this division in God’s Church! You are guilty of betraying God’s people!

In Job we read of Elihu speaking on behalf of God the real truth to Job and his three friends. He waited until those three friends exhausted themselves in their self-righteousness, then God used him to get to the core of Job’s problem. You ministers had better listen to what I am telling you! I say this by the authority of Jesus Christ and of that which came through God’s apostle for this end time!

This is why Jesus Christ is on the outside of these corporate groups knocking! Jesus Christ’s words are pure (Psalms 12:6). He will not cohabit with error. Instead, He tells us to come out of error!

You brethren in these larger groups think you are safe because of numbers or because leading or high ranking ministers are there. You are being led right into the tribulation! Wake up!

Now you may ask yourself where these groups are off the track. This will be explained in detail in upcoming ads. You are going to be shocked! Possibly you have already become so self-satisfied and complacent that you cannot be shocked any longer. Sleeping people that are comfortable do not like to be awakened. Are you that way? Do you feel safe in the group you are in, whether it be the United COG, Living COG, Philadelphia COG, Restored COG or any of the dozens of smaller groups? After you read some of the statements coming in our future ads, you may not feel so comfortable.

Is preaching the gospel to the world the most important task for the Church at this time as the three largest splinter groups say? What are the repercussions of this in relation to the Church being divided as it is today. These and many other questions are answered in our booklet, “The Work of God in the Laodicean Era”.
