SALVATION AND BORN AGAIN. We believe that one is saved when truly born again. We believe that when one is born again he will become a spirit being composed wholly of spirit just as God is composed of spirit. When one is born again, he enters into the Family of God. The process, of developing God's Holy righteous character begins upon repentance, baptism, and the laying on of hands for the giving of the Holy Spirit, is called conversion. When the Father instills His Holy Spirit into one's mind it unites with the human spirit and starts the converting process which must continue throughout one's life until his death or the first resurrection, if he is alive, in order to be saved. This repentance, baptism, and conversion process is the salvation process which culminates by one being being born, as a spirit being, into the spiritual Family of God. Matt. 24:13 states, "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved". Those who are in this salvation process are only begotten, and not born again. This process can be halted if one, by his own free will, rejects God's ways completely and commits the unpardonable sin as defined in the scriptures. Those who had God's Spirit when they died will be resurrected immortal at the blowing of the last trump, which announces Jesus Christ's return to this earth. Those who are alive and possess God's Spirit, upon Christ's return, will instantly be changed from carnal to spirit, from mortal to immortal, from temporary to eternal, and enter the Family of God as His very sons. That is when the Church will be born again. True Christians today, who possess God's Holy Spirit, are the begotten children of God and not born again. Dated February 4, 2001 |
